“After travelling and working throughout the Alps for 25 years I have found Courmayeur, Italy to be an excellent base for my individual and group coaching. Aside of the varied terrain the resort was superb in comfort, facilities and service. I really believe it offers far higher quality and thus better value for money than just about anywhere else in the Alps right now”

This trip is aimed at those wanting to break through the ‘intermediate plateau’.  By that, you can ski reds and some blacks comfortably but struggle in bumps and deeper snow.  I will show you how to negotiate them by learning and applying some simple ideas and new skills.

I am planning a long weekend trip from Thurday 7th February to Sunday the 10th February 2019 (and/or the previous week).  We will be staying at the lovely 4* Hotel Maison St. Jean in Courmayeur centre.

Again if you are interested please contact me and we can discuss your requirements.

Skiing in the Arctic Circle

Riksgransen 2019

After an exploratory trip in April 2016, I have skied in Sweden the last two seasons and am planning another trip in 2019. This is located inside the Arctic Circle where Sweden meets Norway, not too far from the famous ice hotel. Due to its northerly aspect and weather system its ski season runs much later than the alps. If you can imagine that the ski lifts access off-piste the area the size of Holland you will understand that it is a mecca for off-piste skiers.  Heliskiing is affordable compared to other countries and we had a fantastic experience with Mountain Guide Travel.  There is also the option of late evening skiing at Narvik, just across the border in Norway, which is a beautiful drive in itself.

To check out the area and give you an idea take a look at the following links:

The best option travel wise is London-Stockholm-Kiruna which is currently about £300 return inc baggage. Accommodation wise we can go to a bargain hostel which is actually very nice all the way up to luxury hotel.

It is truly a magical place to ski and by going a couple of weeks earlier than this year’s trip should mean we get even deeper powder to explore.  If you are interested then please contact me to tailor your trip.
